Imagine my surprise earlier this week, when Natalie and Elaine from the blog Cheap Luxury commented on my blog, giving The Whole Bag of Chips the One Lovely Blog award!
August 28 was the first day back to school and I’ll admit I was feeling a bit blue. Our summer was over and the kids were gone. I logged onto “The Whole Bag of Chips” and noticed that I had received a comment. I clicked through to see who it was from, and what I saw brightened my day in a big way!
Natalie and Elaine at Cheap Luxury had left me a comment that they were nominating my blog for the One Lovely Blog award!
My first ever blogger to blogger award. Thank you Cheap Luxury! I was so thrilled! My blog is just shy of 1 year old and it’s been an amazing adventure for me so far! I’ve had more than 21,100 hits so far this year, which is more than I ever imagined, and the feedback has been wonderful. I can’t thank you all enough, especially Natalie and Elaine.
Apparently though, getting an award is no simple matter. You must now tell seven things about yourself and then nominate seven other bloggers for the same award.
It made me wonder, are there seven things you don’t yet know about me?

Hmmmmm…..
1) I have never had a Twinkie.
2) I don’t like marshmallows and therefore, I can’t do a real S’more.
3) I can’t eat most shellfish.
4) My favorite kind of chocolate is dark chocolate.
5) I don’t eat most condiments (mayo/ketchup/mustard/relish).
6) I don’t like mint.
7) I have nightmares if I watch anything scary.
